CTIEC undertakes ferro-nickel smelting project in Indonesia

On December 23, the foundation-laying ceremony and press conference of the Nickel Industrial Park of PT First Pacific Mining, Indonesia was held in Jakarta. The conference announced that the 30000t/y ferro-nickel production line of PT First Pacific Mining would be undertaken by China Triumph International Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CTIEC).
At the conference, Xu Bin, president assistant of CTIEC, spoke on behalf of Chairman Peng Shou. Undertaking the ferro-nickel production line of PT First Pacific Mining is CTIEC's major business development and business model innovation, he said, believing that the project will go into production as early as possible with the good cooperation of the project team.
PT First Pacific Mining will build an industrial park integrating ferro-nickel smelting and the special steel industry chain in Weda, eastern Indonesia's province of North Maluku. CTIEC signed a contract for the 30000t/y ferro-nickel production line with PT First Pacific Mining on May 29, 2014. Under the contract, CTIEC will be responsible for project technology communication, equipment purchase and civil engineering and installation.
