On 2016 January 16, the signing ceremony of the EPC contract for the cogeneration project in Bangladesh was held in Shanghai. Undertaken by China Triumph International Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CTIEC), the project involves the construction of a 600t/d float glass production line. Peng Shou, chairman and president of CTIEC and Nasir, chairman and president of Nasir Float Glass Industries Ltd. signed the contract on behalf of respective sides.
CTIEC's glass works cogeneration technology has been applied by many Chinese manufacturers. It "turns waste into treasure" by constructing a power plant utilizing surplus heat. The plant uses self-generated power to partly meet its demand for power and gas consumption, reduce power and energy consumption per unit cost, and reduce air pollutant discharge, thus maximizing its profit. As CTIEC's first EPC project of glass works cogeneration in the international market, this project marks the successful globalization of its glass works cogeneration technology.
