Zhou Yuxian Met with Marco, Chairman of Mercuria Energy Group and His Entourage
On October 11, Zhou Yuxian, who serves as both the Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China National Building Material Group (CNBM) and Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China National Building Material Company Limited, held a meeting with Marco and his accompanying team at the group's headquarters. The discussions revolved around extensive investment and collaboration opportunities in the realm of new materials, as well as the advancement of eco-friendly fuel utilization within the cement and other building materials manufacturing industries.
Zhou Yuxian warmly welcomed Marco and his delegation, expressing his gratitude to Mercuria Energy Group for their efforts in deepening cooperation between the two organizations. He provided an overview of China National Building Materials Group, focusing on its three main business segments: "basic building materials, new materials, and engineering technology services." Zhou also discussed the "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" industrial strategic framework and the progress of their joint ventures. He emphasized that both parties will further concentrate on the development of key products, centered around "carbon asset business, coal business, LNG/LPG, and other energy product businesses." They intend to expand, strengthen, and deepen areas where they have an advantage, particularly in carbon trading. Leveraging the joint venture platform of China National Building Materials Green Energy Company, they will actively promote investment cooperation in fields like new materials, new energy, and new technologies. China National Building Materials Group is actively pursuing a transformation towards intelligence and sustainability and has a solid collaborative foundation with Mercuria Group. Zhou expressed the hope that both parties, with a global perspective, would broaden their cooperation scope and jointly lead the promotion of green and low-carbon development in the global economy.
